Greek restaurant comes to Tigard

A new location of the Great Greek Mediterranean Grill is now open in Tigard.

Owned and operated by Brenda Schmidt, a veteran of the Navy, and her daughter, the restaurant is in Greenway Town Center on SW Scholls Ferry Road.

Such new locations of well-known chains can turn to banner printing to announce their opening, and encourage residents and visitors to patronize their establishment.

Schmidt was born and raised in the area surrounding Tigard and spent 12 years in the Navy serving as a general surgeon before starting this new venture in the restaurant industry. She expressed excitement about starting this new career path, running her own business, and becoming her own boss.

The menu at the Great Greek Mediterranean Grill features modern interpretations of favorites from the Mediterranean area in a fast-casual atmosphere. Among its classic dishes are chicken, steak, and lamb souvlaki plates, the Great Greek Gyro, and fresh Greek salads, in addition to house-made signature dips that include tzatziki, humus, an eggplant dip, and a spicy roasted red pepper dip.

The dining room spans 2,100 square feet and can seat 34 people. The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill offers dine-in, delivery, and pick-up services, as well as catering. Its specialty is large events, parties, and meetings, offering selections from its menu that include its gyros, skewers, and desserts.
