Educators from Tigard, and across the rest of the area as well, are invited to attend an event that will provide them with a set of leadership skills they will be able to use in the classroom.
The Edcamp Leadership Summit will take place over three days and will cover a wide range of topics. These include everything from Edcamp best practices, to resource creation, fostering neuroplasticity and imagination, creative problem solving, and positive leadership.
In keeping with the Edcamp style of conference planning, many of the sessions will be participant-driven, with the attendees deciding as a group which areas will be covered.
The event will also feature time for networking, socializing, meals and other activities that will give participants a chance to share best practices and other information they can use in their teaching career. The skills acquired by those who take part in the summit can be transferred to a classroom setting. The Edcamp conference will run from February 24 to the 26 at the Embassy Suites by Hilton in Tigard. There is no fee charged to participate, and hotel costs and meals will also be offered free charge.
