Business writing workshop to be held in Tigard

A training session has been planned for Tigard that will give those who take part an opportunity to hone their business writing skills.

John Sturtevant will be facilitating the Persuasive Business Writing workshop. Participants will learn how to craft pieces that allow the reader to make informed decisions. According to its organizer, the session has been designed to be fun, thought provoking, and also practical. Instruction will be provided so that when the day is complete, those who took part will be able to write clear, concise and persuasive items that will engage the reader and keep their attention.

Each person who attends will receive a workbook with tips on grammar, as well as writing exercises, examples, course notes, and a list of recommended reading. A printing services company can use comb binding or other techniques to create materials for a continuing education course such as this. A meal will also be provided during the working lunch portion of the day.

The cost to participate in the workshop begins at $325.00 for an early bird registration. Not for profit groups will be offered a discounted rate. It will take place at the University of Phoenix | Executive Learning Center in Tigard on November 22.

Those who would like to sign up or find out further details can do so through the training session’s Eventbrite page.
