Before “Ticket to Dine” was initiated last year, a similar program titled Portland Dining Month was in place from 2009-2020, featuring $33 prix fixe Menus. Ticket to Dine, however, uses a different tactic to encourage dining in Portland during March. Restaurants are given the chance to highlight their own current Menus; plus, diners receive an opportunity to win prizes.
Among the items that restaurants turn to Print shops to supply them with are Menus.
Diners will receive a special ticket for each entrée they purchase during the month at participating restaurants. The tickets have QR Codes that take the diner to a website where a prize will be unveiled. Among the prizes are gift cards, side dishes and free desserts, as well as some more impressive giveaways that include Portland Timbers tickets, hotel stays, and a PDX ticket package.
Bonnie Morales, the owner of Kachka, a Russian restaurant in Portland, said:
“It’s a really great opportunity to see some new faces in our restaurant—those often turn out to be people who come back and are regulars, so we really love that.”
This year’s salute to the city’s impressively diverse restaurant scene has grown to include over 80 participating eateries across the city’s center, ranging from downtown all the way to the Lloyd District.Get a Free Quote for QR Codes Get a Free Quote for Print Get a Free Quote for Menus
