Annual film event to round off January in Portland

The 12th annual PDX Motorcycle Film Festival will take place at the end of this month in the historic Hollywood Theatre here in Portland.

The event is put on by a nonprofit associated with the Oregon Motorcycle Road Racing Association for the specific purpose of raising money to buy safety equipment, including Air Fence, for the benefit of the Portland International Raceway.

The festival will be held at the Hollywood Theatre, built in 1926. With its place on the US National Register of Historic Places, the theater is known for its visual appeal and historic charm.

Poster printing services have traditionally been used to promote films; however, banner printing services are equally useful in announcing a wide range of special events.

Traditionally, the festival programming has offered feature-length films as well as shorter ones that are generally between 20 and 40 minutes in length. This year’s festival includes The Drixton, Dirt Track Dickie, Malle Moto: The Forgotten Dakar Story, LeMans: Racing Beyond Limits, and Between the Hedges: Joey Dunlop.

This year’s PDX Motorcycle Film Festival is scheduled for January 30 and 31, beginning at 6:30 pm, with the doors opening half an hour earlier. One-day passes are $20 for each day, or it is $60 for a full event pass that covers both nights of films as well as a VIP pre-party event on the Saturday.

Tickets can be purchased through the Hollywood Theatre website.
