Unique Mexican restaurant arrives in Stow

The Amigos Taqueria restaurant, serving authentic Mexican cuisine, is now open in Stow. It is owned and operated by Gustavo Munoz and Alejandro Enriquez.

Banner printing can be used to announce the opening of such new restaurants and inform the community of their specialties.

Munoz came to Northeast Ohio in 2013. Enriquez is from Veracruz, Mexico and moved to Stow in 2013. They met when Munoz was owner of the El Tren Grill and Enriquez was a cook there, and dreamed of opening a restaurant together someday.

The Amigos Taqueria is in the Bridgewater Park retail development and is a small eatery, seating 22 people. The restaurant’s corn tortillas are handmade, and its menu includes sandwiches, soups, quesadillas, tacos, burritos, and bowls. Munoz and Enriquez place a high priority on freshness including guacamole made at the table and fresh water prepared daily. The food is served in hand-painted and handmade Mexican pottery, which helps keep the food warm.

The décor is also reminiscent of Mexico with walls in burnt orange, gecko figures and a colorful, burnt wood on the booths and above the front counter, and pottery and folk art on the walls.

The restaurant is opened from 11:00 am to 9:00 pm Monday through Thursday, and until 10:00 pm on Friday and Saturday. The owners plan to open another Amigos Taqueria in Strongsville later this month that will seat 85 people.
