The City of Stow Parks and Recreation Department, in partnership with the Stow-Munroe Falls Public Library, is hosting several special events this month and over the upcoming months.
Flyer printing is often used to spread information about such events to residents in the area and surrounding communities.
The first, called “Learn OWL About It!,” is a program for children between the ages of 9 and 12. Children in this age group will be able to learn about this fascinating nocturnal bird through hands-on activities and games. This will be at the Leona Farris Lodge on Saturday, February 25 from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m.
A free program of St. Patty’s Day Trivia for adults 21 years old and older will be held in March. People can sign up in teams of six or be assigned randomly to a team to test their luck of the Irish, and can bring a six-pack of beer to share. This will be on Friday, March 10 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm at the Leona Farris Lodge.
Naturalist Judy Semroc will give a talk on owl species in the area at the Owl Prowl. She will also offer tips for spotting owls and lead an indoor hike to learn how to listen and look for owls. This will be at the Heritage Barn on Thursday, April 13 from 7:00 to 8:30 pm.
All events will take place at Silver Springs Park.
