Stow to update neighborhood city park

An upgrade will be coming to Meadowbrook Lake Neighborhood Park on Hudson Drive.

The city of Stow has announced that it will be renovating the park and will be building a new playground. This will feature equipment for spinning, amenities for climbing, a picnic shade area, slides, a new fence around the play area, and sensory panels. These new features will focus on children in the age group of two to five years old, and then from five to twelve years old, meaning different age groups can have an enjoyable experience.

During construction, certain areas of the park may be temporarily closed to the public. Local Print shops often assist with informing the public about such updates and closures with Flyers and other printed materials.

Meadowbrook Lake Neighborhood Park is in the northwestern part of the city. It has a lake that spans 19 acres and can be used by the public, which is accessible from Hudson Drive or from a small park on Meadowbrook Boulevard and Mac Drive. Private residences surround the lake, but people can fish from the public access areas. No swimming is allowed. There is also a basketball court, a play area, and a picnic area.

Necessary demolition work has already begun. It is anticipated that the park will open in early spring of this year.
