John Pribonic, mayor of the city of Stow, announced that a tentative agreement has been received with the Hanson family to purchase land they own in the city.
The property spans 36 acres, is comprised of two parcels, and is on the corner of Young Road and Call Road. One parcel includes the home of the Hanson family, the former tree farm, and a small cemetery for the family.
The other spans 10.5 acres and is the driving range of the Fox Den Golf Course which has been leased by the city for the past 15 years. The current plan is to improve the existing driving range of the Fox den Golf Course. More information about such plans can be outlined with flyer printing services.
The mayor said that this investment will benefit the city in many ways. He added that the driving range is an important part of the business of the golf course and needs to be maintained for the future.
The remaining acreage will be used for recreational purposes. The city is also about to undertake creating a Master Plan of all parks and recreational facilities such that the timing of this acquisition is ideal. Residents will be encouraged to share their thoughts and ideas on the use of this property as the city works towards the formation of this plan.
