Stow to hold annual festival for fall

The annual Harvest Festival will be held later this month by the Stow Historical Society.

Set to take place over a weekend, both days of the festival will feature food, art, and handmade crafts. Vendor applications are currently available for those who wish to participate in the festival. There will also be tour of a one-room schoolhouse and three historic houses, as well as a range of activities for adults and children. There will be stirring of apple butter and the work of the blacksmith. Proceeds from the festival go to support the maintenance of archives, the preservation of artifacts, and the history of the town.

There will also be special musical performances by Rock Salt and Nails, an acoustic band from Northeastern Ohio. Their music is based in the roots of America, with songs from Americana and Appalachia, as well as their own original pieces. They have played in such concert venues as Rialto in Akron, and on festival stages around the area.

Sponsors of the festival include Hawkins Roof and Exterior Cleaning, Stow Jewelers, R&R Engine and Machine, and Stow Giant Eagle. Often, such sponsors display their Logo Design at such activities to show their support and to garner new customers.

The festival will be held this Saturday, September 25 and Sunday, September 26, with each day running from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm.
