Stow plans major project for the city

Currently in the planning stages, the City Center Project in Stow will soon begin.

This will be a development that will be what was once the Skip playground and will create a community gathering place. This phase of the project will focus on rebuilding the playground that will provide many easily accessible and fun activities for children and their families. Banner printing used at such sites serves to keep the community informed about the progress of such projects.

This amenity for the community will be the base for a longer-term project in the city to develop a focal center in Stow. The center will combine recreation, wellness, education, and leisure activities and is designed to engage bother visitors to and residents of the city.

John Pribonic, mayor of Stow, said that this is an important project for the city and expressed his excitement about the progress that has been made so far on the project. He said that once it is completed it will be a fun, safe, family-friendly and inviting place for everyone to visit, play and exercise in, and enjoy. The Steering Committee, the mayor, and the administration have collaborated to raise a total of $425,000 toward the project.

Groundbreaking on the project is scheduled for sometime this fall. The components of the playground will be installed the following spring.
