Stow plans city-wide clean-up day

The city of Stow is planning a trash pickup event in the community for later this month.

Team Up 2 Clean Up Stow is looking for volunteers to help clean up its streets. Residents will be grouped into teams, and each team will be assigned a street for picking up trash. It is expected that volunteers will be at each location for about an hour.

There will be a team leader who will coordinate the efforts of each team, and volunteers will have the opportunity to select their preferred time of day to help. Team leaders will receive gloves, trash Bags, and T-Shirts prior to the event and will distribute the items to team members. Flyer printing can be used to promote such events throughout a city.

John Pribonic, Mayor of Stow, said that the city is working on several initiatives that include holiday events and park and road improvements, so this is an ideal time for bringing back the community clean-up program. He expressed his excitement about giving people the chance to get involved in such programs, as he knows how passionate people are about the city and want to ensure it is comfortable, clean, and wonderful for everyone.

The first Team Up 2 Clean Up Stow event will be held on Saturday August 24, with two more to be scheduled later this year.
