Stow develops standards for community events

The city of Stow has announced that all events it will hold in the community this year will be family friendly so they will be an inclusive and fun experience for all residents.

Mayor John Pribonic said that the city prides itself in fostering a sense of community with events that bring people together in a welcoming, entertaining, and safe environment with events throughout the seasons that include holiday celebrations, parades, and concerts on the lawn. He added that events in the community should be enjoyable and accessible for all residents and should create memories that will last for years to come. He said there will be a standard for everyone at an event including attendees, participants, and registrants.

The key elements in all community events in Stow will include:

• Being safe and accessible for everyone with first-aid stations, security, and facilities that are accessible.
• Seeking input from residents to help create community events. Community feedback will ensure that programming can be improved and adapted to meet the preferences and needs of the community.
• Providing educational components so that families can learn and grow together.
• Offering a wide range of performances and activities for people of all ages.

More details about such components can be provided with flyer printing.

Mayor Pribonic said that including these components in community events will guarantee a memorable experience for the entire family.
