The Christmas Candlelight Concert Series will be performed by the Summit Choral Society choirs in Akron at the St. Bernard Catholic Church. Residents of Stow may want to attend this special holiday concert.
This Friday and Saturday evenings, the youth Performance and Advanced choirs, as well as the adult Metropolitan Chorus, will be performing. On Sunday afternoon, the youth Performance and Bel Canto choirs and the Metropolitan Choir will give their performance.
The repertoire for all concerts will have selections including “Hark the Herald Angels Sing,” “O Come, All Ye Faithful,” “Welcome All Wonders,” “Silent Night,” and “I Saw Three Ships.” Programs and notes about such concerts are often provided with local printing services.
The Summit Choral Society (SCS) endeavors to produce and perform musical events of the highest quality with an emphasis on education, and a with a love of the choral arts. SCS has been serving the greater Akron area for the past 32 years and enables everyone to participate in some form, whether as a donor, sponsor, patron, or singer. SCS currently offers in-person rehearsals and classes for youth and children.
The concerts will be this Friday and Saturday, December 17 and 18, at 7:00 pm, and on Sunday, December 19, at 4:00 pm. The doors will be opened 30 minutes prior to the start of each concert.
