Roaring Twenties gala to support homeless people

The annual black-tie gala of The Haven of Portage County will be held next month in Rootstown at the NEW Center at Northeast Ohio Medical University. Residents of Stow will want to attend this nearby fundraiser for a worthy cause.

The Roaring Twenties is the theme for this year’s gala. Guests will be transported back in time to the era of flappers, speakeasies, fast cars, and jazz by Terry Montz of Innovate Elegance Catering and Design. Delicious food, raffles, and an auction will be featured at the gala, with a one-off roadster from the 1920s converted into a bar as a premier auction item. Chance Entertainment and a jazz band will provide live music.

Events such as this one are often promoted throughout a town and the neighboring communities by banner printing.

Ticket prices for the gala are $150 for an individual, $250 for a couple, and $700 for a table of six. Sponsorships are also available. All proceeds go towards supporting The Haven of Portage County, a mission that serves the vulnerable and homeless members of the community with food and shelter, and offers them comfort and hope for the future.

The gala will be on Saturday, November 2, beginning at 5:00 pm with the serving of hors d’oeuvres, followed by dinner at 6:00 pm. Guests can decide to wear black-tie dress or themed attire.
