Holiday lights aglow in Stow area

Residents of Stow are being invited to check out several places in the Akron area to view Christmas lights.

Poster printing can be used to promote such holiday displays throughout a community and surrounding neighborhoods.

There are the Stan Hywet Hall and Gardens Deck the Hall lights on North Portage Path in Akron. This estate features an historic Tudor Revival Manor House with 65 rooms, a Gate Lodge, a Gothic Revival Conservatory, and 70 acres of formal gardens and landscaped grounds. The lights can be seen from 3:00pm to 8:00pm on Saturday, December 23 and from Tuesday, December 26 through Saturday, December 30. Ticket prices range from $9.00 to $24.00, depending on the time and date.

The Wild Lights can also be seen at the Akron Zoo. Presented by Akron Children’s Hospital, these are dazzling lights accompanied by treats, warm beverages, and much more. There are more than 1 million lights and opportunities for photographs throughout the zoo, including photographs with the red panda mascot and the penguin. There will be visits with Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus’s Sweets features s’mores and other goodies. There will also be performances by local organizations and high school choirs.

Wild Lights will run from Friday, December 15 through Saturday, December 23 and from Tuesday, December 26 through Friday, December 29. Tickets can be purchased in advance online or at the door.
