Fourth of July festivities to be held in Stow

The city of Stow will be holding several events to celebrate Independence Day.

Such events are often promoted throughout a city with poster printing.

The day will start with a Pancake breakfast at the First Christian Church of Stow. Breakfast will include all you can eat pancakes, real maple syrup, sausage patties, and beverages. This will be from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., with all proceeds to benefit Boy Scout Troop 169 and local outreach ministries.

There will be a Firecracker Fun Run featuring both a four-mile and a two-mile race. Both races will be out and back along the route of the parade, which will take place later in the day. The race will begin at 7:30 a.m. at the Holy Family Church.

All those who register will receive a T-shirt, along with refreshments after the race. Those who finish the two-mile race will receive a finisher’s ribbon with a special award for top female and male runners. The four-mile race will give awards to the overall master female and male winner; the top three males and females; and the top three male and female winners in age categories starting at 14 to 70 years of age and older.

The Fourth of July Parade will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Stow-Munroe Falls Public Library. The parade will start at 10:00 a.m. at the Stow Community Center and travel down Route 59 and end at the Holy Family Church.
