Community events to celebrate Independence Day in Stow

Stow will be hosting a week-long series of events leading up to the community celebration of the Fourth of July.

Many banner printing and other printing services are often used to promote such events throughout a city.

A new event this year will be the Fun in Stow Play Day and Community Picnic at the City Center Complex. The Stow Arts Commission is working with the city on this event. Linda Nahrstedt, Parks and Recreation Director, said that this will be a simple event designed to be casual and fun for the entire family. Featured at the Picnic will be yard games, scavenger hunts, and a DrumFit Demo and appearances by Jungle Terry, Dr. Awesome Bubble Guy, and stilt walkers. This will be held on Saturday, June 26 at the City Center Complex.

Another new event will be the Patriotic Pedal, during which residents can come to track and stadium at Stow-Munroe Falls High School to decorate their wheelchairs, scooters, and bikes and then display them in a parade around the track. Mayor John Pribonic said that Marty’s Bike Shop and Eddy’s Bike Shop will also be participating in the event, which will be held on Sunday, June 26.

The parade on July 4 will be a hybrid experience. There will be a smaller version of the annual parade that will travel through local neighborhoods with special common areas in the city where the parade can be viewed.
