The city of Stow will be holding a Team Up 2 Clean Up Stow event later this week.
Residents are being invited by the city to volunteer and help with picking up the trash along major roads in the city. Doing so will prevent pollution from entering the city’s storm drains from the roadways. These drains lead to the lakes, rivers, and streams in the area.
People will be working in small groups and will be assigned an area for picking up trash along the sidewalks and streets. Those who participated last year in this event are encouraged to bring their green safety T-shirt.
Those who register for the event will be given a T-shirt, latex gloves, and trash Bags. Volunteers may also want to bring work or garden gloves.
Print shops can lend a hand in promoting such events throughout a city by creating Flyers and Brochures that can be disturbed throughout town.
Team Up 2 Clean Up Stow will be taking place this Saturday, May 20 from 8:00 to 11:00 am. Volunteers can pick up their packets from 2:00 to 4:30 pm tomorrow or from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm on Friday.
Additional dates over the summer for Team Up 2 Clean Up Stow will be Saturday, June 24 and Saturday, August 26. Registration for all dates is available on StowOhio.org.
