Celebration of dogs to come to Stow

The 16th annual PAW FEST will be held by the Stow-Munroe Falls Lions Club this weekend.

This will be a day of dog contests, presentations by rescue groups, items for sale by vendors of dog products, dog contests, raffles, and food for purchase. Such special and unique events are often promoted throughout a city with poster printing.

The day will begin with a demonstration by the Stow K-9s, followed by a companion dog. At noon, there will be a variety of dog contests, including the best costumer dog in a parade, best dog trick, best dog in a swimsuit, and short/long dog tails. There will be a drawing for a kids’ only raffle at 2:24 pm and a gift raffle drawing at 3:00 pm. Both raffles will be held in the Lion’s Tent.

Attendees are asked to pay $1 for parking as a donation, or to donate a pair of used eyeglasses.

The Lions Club is part of an international organization of members who dedicate some of their free time to helping those in need and improving the quality of life in their communities.

This event will be held at the Bow Wow Beach Dog Park on Stow Road from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm this Sunday, September 17. More info is available by calling 30-607-2242 or emailing Duhstoy2@gmail.com.
