The Columbus Vegan Meetup group will be organizing an outing in November at The Dawes Arboretum in Newark.
The Dawes Arboretum Excursion is an experience where guests can take a stroll through a scenic forest and garden while hanging with like-minded people. Attendees will be treated to vegan cookies and apple cider after the expedition. If the weather is cold, the organizers will serve hot apple cider and dairy-free hot chocolate instead. The event may get rescheduled if the weather is unfavorable and temperatures reach below 40°F.
Columbia Vegan Meetup is a community of vegans that offers support to fellow people following a plant-based diet, and hosts various social activities. The group is also open to those who are curious about veganism, or are not vegans at all. Events held by the organization include outings to vegan restaurants, book discussions, and yoga sessions. The community also supports sanctuaries such as Sunrise Sanctuary. Planners who put together activities like these may use flyer printing to tell people about the events.
The arboretum excursion will occur on Sunday, November 7 from 11:00 am to 1:30 pm. The meeting is free, though non-members of The Dawes Arboretum will need to pay to enter the gardens. Those interested in attending must respond by Saturday, November 6. People can learn more about the organizers and their upcoming meetings on their community page.
