An early November event is bringing a production full of talents with a scary twist to Newark.
The Vampire Circus is a show that features variety act performers that are portraying a group of eerie vampire characters. The company behind the show is CircusViral, which was started by Francisco Santos. Santos spent some time working as a performer with Cirque Du Soleil in addition to starting his business and creating this intriguing event.
The show is described on its website as “the result of a fusion of Tim Burton and Cirque Du Soleil,” as well as “a mix of circus cabaret and theater.”
In the story, Count Dracula is looking to achieve world domination. To do this he runs a circus, which serves as an excuse to travel.
The audience is included in parts of the show, which also features dancers, clowns, actors, acrobats, jugglers, and contortionists. The circus is perfect for those who love spooky experiences and impressive performers. One character mentioned aside from Count Dracula is the “Mad Graveyard Clown.”
