Residents of Newark with a sweet tooth may be excited about an upcoming event being hosted by the Downtown Newark Association.
The 2026 Chocolate Walk is an event that will take participants through the core of the city and allow them to see what local businesses have to offer. The event is part of the Final Friday series, which sees an event take place on the last Friday of each month.
Business owners in particular may enjoy events such as this as they provide potential networking opportunities, as well as the chance to gather ideas for future Corporate Gifts.
This event will see participants able to walk the streets of Newark and grab a sweet treat to sample from the more than 20 participating businesses. Attendees will be given a bag and a map of participating vendors with information regarding what type of chocolate treat each business is offering. This may allow people to decide what they would most like to try or to be aware of potential allergy concerns ahead of time.
The Walk will be taking place on Friday, September 25, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Bags and maps will be handed out at The Midland Theatre, located at 36 N Park Place, so participants are encouraged to go there upon arrival. Tickets for the event are $15 and can be purchased online.
