Singer/songwriter of Americana to play Newark

A singer/songwriter who has found a home in “Americana” music will perform in Newark.

“Americana” is a genre incorporating elements of other styles including bluegrass, gospel, folk, rock, country, and more into a sound that is distinct from all its sources. Peter Bradley Adams is a master of this music.

Adams, who is from Birmingham, Alabama, began playing the piano when he was six, and kept up his musical studies all the way through college. He has a Bachelor of Arts in Music as well as a Master’s in Music Composition. In the mid-1990s, Adams studied at the USC Thornton School of Music where he was in the Scoring for Motion Pictures and Television program. After his work at USC, he composed for television and film until he formed his first band, eastmountainsouth, in 2001. He began a successful solo career in 2005.

He has been described as an artist who continually refines his work, rather than pushing new boundaries. His quest for perfection has resulted in praise from critics and audiences alike, and his recent album, “A Face Like Mine,” is described as having fulfilled his artistic promise, giving listeners:

“. . . a sonic scape that . . . wraps itself around the listener like a soft blanket on a cold day.”

Adams will appear at Thirty One West on August 27 at 8.00 pm, in the Main Ballroom. Poster printing is often successfully used to advertise events like this.
