Newark to hold convention for photographers

The Professional Photographers of Ohio (PPO) will be hosting an event in July at the Cherry Valley Hotel in Newark.

The PPO Annual Convention is an event where photographers network with like-minded individuals and learn from professionals. Several speakers will be attending the conference, such as Eli Infante, Don Ling, and Jessica Robertson. The topics covered during these presentations include portrait lighting techniques, fashion, and posing. There will also be an equipment swap and awards show held during the convention.

Formed in 1971, the mission of the PPO is to advance all branches of photography and help aspiring photographers improve their craftsmanship. The current president of the PPO is David Beckham, and the secretary is Danica Barreau. Many events have been held by the organization, such as the PPO Spring Image Competition, Mansfield Mayhem Image Competition, and the PPO Service Awards Ceremony.

The convention will take place from Saturday, July 22 to Monday, July 24. Members of the PPO can pay $199 to attend the conference, and non-members can purchase tickets for $279. Those under 18 can participate in the convention for $35. The registration cost will include four meals. Some of the courses held at the conference will cost extra to attend. Organizations that host professional events similar to this may utilize brochure printing to provide attendees with schedules.
