In line with the release of her new solo album ‘Playing with Fire’, country singer Jennifer Nettles will kick off her tour of the same name with an appearance in Newark.
Nettles has been busy recently; the star recently signed a contract with Big Machine Records, and will release her new record early in 2016.
Audiences who come to the show will hear some of the songs from the new album, as well as hits from her first solo album, 2014's ‘That Girl’. She will also be performing some of the hits from her days as lead singer of the Sugarland duo.
With ‘Playing with Fire’, Nettles said she hoped to show her point of view as a soloist by creating a fuller sound. She said an artist's career has to evolve in its own way to establish the singer's perspective, and believes that her own work is clearer as to what her voice can do as a soloist. She is looking forward to expressing herself through her singing.
She also said she is excited about the upcoming road trip, especially spending some time with her fans.
Jennifer Nettles is slated to perform at Newark's Midland Theatre tomorrow, October 29. Theater management could work with a poster printing company to create colorful Posters to place in the theater and the downtown area advertising the concert.
