Newark theater to perform Neil Diamond tribute show

The Midland Theatre in Newark will be holding a concert in February to honor the singer Neil Diamond.

I Am, He Said is a live music performance celebrating the songs created by Diamond. Matt, Jeff, and Tommy Vee will perform classic hits during the show while telling the audience stories and intimate moments from the singer’s life. The trio will also include a touching nod to their father and uncle in the performance. The show originally debuted at Joetown Rocks in St. Joseph and has been making its way to venues throughout the United States since.

Midland Theatre first opened in 1928 and initially played classic movies like Gone with the Wind and Ben Hur. The venue hosts several events, such as magic shows, concerts from notable musicians, and virtual programs through Facebook Live. The theatre receives support from the community through monetary donations and volunteers. Organizations such as the Midland Theatre can raise awareness for their causes by using flyer printing to communicate with locals.

The Neil Diamond tribute performance will be held on February 19 and will begin at 8:00 pm. The admission cost will range from $29 to $35, though children aged three and younger are not required to have a ticket. No food or beverages are allowed in the theatre, and guests may not take photos during the performance.
