Newark residents who want to celebrate the Fourth of July in style are in luck.
The city's annual celebration will be held soon on the Ohio State University at Newark and Central Ohio Technical College campus. There is no admission charge, and everyone is welcome.
The celebration starts with a performance by Sticks and Stones, a duo of local singers. After that, the Newark-Granville Symphony Orchestra is slated to perform. At dusk, the orchestra will perform favorite patriotic songs, accompanying a fireworks display to bring the celebrations to a close.
All the activities will take place at Martha Grace Reese Amphitheatre, where many local vendors plan to serve beverages and food. People who are planning to attend are encouraged to bring blankets, lawn chairs, and picnics, and to plan on having a great time.
The Ohio State University at Newark, Central Ohio Technical College, and the Reese Foundation cosponsor the annual event.
The fun starts at 6:30 pm this Friday, July 3, and the orchestra will being playing at about 8:00 pm. Parking is at the campus, and is free of charge.
Since the event is outside, event organizers might consider having Banners printed to celebrate the important date. Banners are made of tough vinyl, come in many sizes, and can be used repeatedly, even under harsh outdoor conditions.Get a Free Quote for Banners
