The Land of Legend Fly Fishers will host a workshop in Newark that introduces people to fly fishing.
The Introduction to Fly Fishing for Beginners workshop is an event where experienced instructors will teach students everything they need to know about fly fishing. The program covers how to tie flies, select fishing equipment, and properly cast lines. Attendees will have the chance to enjoy a hands-on experience at the event, and will get to fish out of the organizer’s stocked pond. Lunch and refreshments will be provided to all fishing students.
The Land of Legend Fly Fishers is an organization that was created by Dale Miller, Dick Berube, Dale Snelling and Stan Faller. The group was formed in 1990 to promote the enjoyment of fly fishing and combat misconceptions about the sport. The organization shares information about fly fishing with its members and works with conservation agencies to protect local fishing resources. The association hosts business meetings and offers fly-tying lessons each month.
The introduction to fly fishing workshop will be held on Saturday, April 13 from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm. There is no cost for guests to attend the workshop, and fishers of all ages are allowed to participate in the event. Children under 16 must be joined by an adult. Fishing organizations that offer classes for beginners like this may use poster printing services to share their fishing lessons.
