The Licking County Family YMCA will host a run in Newark to help fund its backpack program for students.
The 8th Annual Run Run Reindeer 5K and 1 Mile Family Walk is a holiday race and fundraiser for the Licking County Family YMCA. The racecourse will take participants past local landmarks such as Rotary Park and McConnell Residence Hall. The event’s fundraising goal is $2,500. Community organizations that host seasonal fundraisers such as this may use Print shops to design themed advertisements for their events to place around their cities.
The money earned from the holiday race will help fund the Y Healthy Kids Network Backpack Program. The Backpacks given to students are filled with easy-to-prepare nutritious food to ensure the children won’t go hungry over the weekend. The program was initially known as the Back Pack Pilot Program in 2015 and used to be limited to one Newark school. The program has expanded to serve 23 schools throughout Licking and Muskingum counties.
The Run Run Reindeer race will be held on Saturday, December 9th from 9:30am to 11:00am. The cost of the 5K is $40 per person, and the price of the family walk is $30. Prices for both activities will increase after Friday, December 8th. People can also support the YMCA’s backpack program by donating directly to the organization’s website.Get a Free Quote for Backpacks Get a Free Quote for Print
