Newark event allows kids to explore machinery

A mid-July event is giving Newark kids an opportunity to learn about some of the exciting machines and vehicles.

Dozers & Diggers is an experience from The Works. The event brings together different types of service vehicles and construction equipment, as well as the individuals who operate them. Attendees can get close up, touch the machines, pose for pictures, and ask the operators as many questions as they like.

Some of the operators will also be demonstrating features of their respective machines throughout the event. Guests can explore the world of mechanics and the science behind what makes the machines go with some activities put together to appeal to families.

Members of The Works earn free entry to the experience. The cost ranges between $90 and $325 per year, depending on the type and number of people attached. For those who are not members, attending the event and going inside the museum will have an entry fee of $8 for each person. Outdoor activities are free to all. A wristband is required, and can be picked up when checking in. Memberships can be purchased on the website for The Works.

The venue will be the Newark location. Flyer printing is a common promotion technique for educational events. The experience will be open from 9:00am to 2:00pm, with 9:00am to 10:00am being an hour set aside for those with sensory sensitivities. The date is July 19th.
