The band Crossfire, which features two members from Newark, is set to open for country act Mustang Sally next month.
The band has opened for a number of well-known acts; In October, Crossfire opened for Bret Michaels of Poison, where they played to an audience of thousands.
The band members include Scotty Barnes, a resident of Hocking County; Jim Hudak from New Lexington; and two Newark residents, Mark Finckel and J. Eric Wooten. Wooten is also the owner of Eric's Complete Auto, located in Newark. Barnes says he believes the upcoming concert will a huge boost for the band, and expects them to “go right on from there”.
The band's specialties are covers of country and rock songs, but they're planning to release an album of their own original material. According to Wooten, they love sharing their music, and simply want to entertain their listeners and have some fun along the way.
Crossfire is scheduled to perform March 5 as the opening act for Mustang Sally. The event is slated to take place at the Barn in the Backwoods in Thornville, which is only a short journey from Newark. Event organizers could work with a poster printing company to create display Posters advertising the concert, and so that the venue can offer them for sale before and after the performance.Get a Free Quote for Posters
