Fundraising team to host event in Newark

Michelle's Miracles MS Walk Team will organize a craft show in April at the GMP Local 244 in Newark.

The 3rd Annual MS Craft Show & Quarter Auction is an event where local artists and consumers can support those with multiple sclerosis (MS). The proceeds of the show will go to Walk MS, which is an organization that combats the condition by researching cures and creating programs to help people find information about MS. Michelle, the event organizer, was diagnosed with MS when she was 32 and wants to use the annual show to help research treatments for the condition.

Craft vendors can purchase an outdoor or indoor space for the event. Outdoor tables will cost $10 per person and require one donation to the show's auction. Indoor spaces will cost $20 per person and require two contributions to the event. The items a vendor brings to the auction must be worth at least $10. Those who purchase a table space at the show will receive tickets to the auction – they can sell these to earn back what they spent on the spaces.

The fundraising event will be on Saturday, April 8. People can browse the marketplace from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, and the auction will take place from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Vendors who participate in shows like this may use banner printing to make Signs for their tables to increase their visibility.
