There's a party coming to Newark to celebrate the arrival of 2020
Patty's Dance Center (PDC) in Newark is turning 50, and is celebrating this milestone anniversary with a party to welcome the new year, in a very special place. The party will also honor the founder of the school.
The venue is the Coco Key Water Resort/Cherry Valley Lodge. Coco Key is the biggest indoor water attraction in Ohio, and offers a full-service spa as well as an indoor waterpark that covers 50,000 square feet. The waterpark includes the Barracuda Blast raft slide, an interactive play area called Parrot's Perch, and the Dip-In Theatre. An onsite restaurant, Sunflower's, is elegant but casual, and the hotel also features a botanical garden and arboretum.
The PDC is a dance academy for youngsters that helps them grow and mature through learning the medium of dance. Many students are simply enjoying themselves, but the school does prepare others for careers as professional dancers. One recent graduate, Sydney Kinney, said the school provided both the training and inspiration to become a dancer; Kinney has been accepted by a professional Los Angeles dance program.
The New Year's Eve celebration takes place December 31, beginning at 8:00 pm, and ends at 1:00 am on January 1. Tickets are $65, or $35 for children 12 and younger. Flyer printing can be used to create programs for events like this.
