Cabaret artist to visit Newark

An award-winning vocalist, songwriter, and cabaret artist will be in Newark for one performance soon.

Jenn Grinels is appearing as part of the Midland Theatre's Stage Door Cabaret Series. In the last decade, she has played approximately 1,500 concerts throughout the world, either as the headliner, or in support of stars such as Edwin McCain and Marc Broussard. She has also opened for the group 10,000 Maniacs, which promoted a glowing review by the San Francisco Examiner's critic Kenneth Fish, who said:

"Grinels steals the show. She is a rock and roll temptress conjuring musical spells that no one could resist. . . . And her performance was nothing short of amazing."

Touring extensively has enabled Grinels to build a huge fanbase. She started the practice in 2007 when she stored all her personal belongings and set out to follow the age-old tradition of performing as a troubadour. Despite her hectic schedule, Grinels has found time to release three albums, with a fourth on the way. She has won numerous awards, and her song “Can't Stay Here” from her “Little Words” album was named Song of the Year in the West Coast Songwriters' Song Contest.

Grinels will be at the Midland Theatre at 8:00 pm on December 3. Poster printing is an effective means to create advertising, and is frequently used to publicize events like this.
