All-female country group coming to Newark

A powerhouse quartet of women will be coming to Newark soon.

Farewell Angelina took their name from a Bob Dylan song, and are a group of multi-instrumentalists who are also songwriters and vocalists. The group formed in Nashville, where each of the members was working on a solo career, writing songs for some of the biggest stars in country music, and often recording and touring with them. The artists admired and liked each other and became friends, and decided to form a group. Lisa Torres, Andrea Young, and Nicole Witt were the founders, with Lauren Lucas joining later to make up the quartet.

A strong rapport with their fans helped them to win the “Hot Seat” in the Taste of Country 2017 “RISERS” Program by a margin of more than 20,000 votes. Rolling Stone listed them as one of its “New Artists You Need to Know,” while Roughstock said they were one of the “Ones to Watch.”

The group has opened for Trace Adkins, Maroon 5, Kenny Chesney, and more, and was the opening act for the Bacon Brothers (Michael and Kevin) on two of their tours.

A review says:

“These women are so talented! There we times u could have heard a pin drop when they were harmonizing.”

Farewell Angelina will appear at Newark's Midland Theatre on October 30 at 8:00 pm. Brochure printing can be used to develop programs for events like this.
