Yes She Can, a nonprofit supporting autistic girls, is celebrating its 10th anniversary in White Plains this spring.
Marjorie Madfis founded the organization to help people with autism and learning differences to develop practical job skills. The organization runs Girl Again, a resale store for American Girl dolls, accessories and Books. Madfis was inspired by her daughter, who has autism and loves the dolls. Employees of the store receive ongoing real-time coaching to help build confidence and business and social skills.
The 10th anniversary event will include speakers, dinner, and an auction. It will honor American Girl Series author Valerie Tripp, author and attorney Haley Moss, and author and mother Kelly A. Branco.
The general admission price is $150 per person, which includes dinner, drinks and access to the event. Those planning to attend can purchase tickets on the Yes She Can website. Three sponsorship tiers are also available. The associate level costs $500 and includes tickets for two guests, the ambassador level costs $1,000 and includes four tickets, and the benefactor level costs $3,000 and includes 10 tickets. Attendees need to purchase tickets by March 12. Nonprofit events often use banner printing services to feature sponsors’ logos.
The anniversary celebration will take place on Thursday, March 21 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm at the Mansion on Broadway, White Plains.
