White Plains area museum to present floral exhibit

The Katonah Museum of Art is presenting Art in Bloom, a juried flower-themed exhibition with several related events, this June.

The exhibition will open with a reception and cocktail party on Thursday evening. On Friday afternoon, there will be a luncheon and panel discussion about the artistry of nature. Attendees can also vote for their favorite Art in Bloom pieces. The museum will be open late for a happy hour with a cash bar on Friday evening, and there will be three different workshops on Saturday. These include container garden design and flower drawing for adults and a family-friendly and art nature class. Tickets for all of these events and workshops are available on the museum’s website.

Art in Bloom will feature pieces from members of the Katonah Museum Artists’ Association paired with corresponding interpretations done by local floral designers. It will be open to the public from 3 pm to 8 pm on June 12 and from 10 am to 5 pm on June 13 and 14. Tickets are available online for $15 per adult.

The Katonah Museum of Art showcases art and artists from multiple periods and styles. It is supported by several nonprofits and foundations, including ArtsWestchester in White Plains. Museums often use brochure printing services to provide information about their exhibits and collections.

Art in Bloom will take place from Thursday, June 11, to Sunday, June 14.
