The Play Group Theatre in White Plains is hosting a fundraiser for the Westchester Children’s Association (WCA) presented with Stories on Hudson next week.
The event will feature a variety of true stories from different community leaders on the theme of growing pains. Wine, beverages and snacks will be served. Storytellers will include Business Council of Westchester CEO Dr. Marsha Gordon, Westchester County Executive Ken Jenkins, WCA Board President Ann Umemoto, education technology expert Cristian Apazo, professional storyteller Subomi Macaulay, and nonprofit founder Jonathan Alvarez. The organizers hope to provide a unique experience that inspires a range of emotions and provides a sense of connection.
Tickets are available on the WCA’s website now for $125 per person. All proceeds will support the WCA’s programs. Attendees are also able to make an additional donation when purchasing their tickets. Organizations often use Graphic Design Services to create digital ads to promote their fundraising events.
WCA runs multiple programs for kids and young adults in Westchester County. It uses a data-driven approach combined with direct feedback from young people and their families to lead advocacy campaigns. The group’s focus areas include eliminating childhood poverty and homelessness, expanding access to early childhood education and supporting emotional and mental wellbeing.
Growing Pains will take place on Thursday, March 6 from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm at The Play Group Theatre in White Plains.
