Katies of Smithtown will host the November's Cocktail Package: Katie's Haunted Book Club event next month for any literary fans of true crime and haunted tales.
Katies is a local bar owned by artists and musicians. Serving creative cocktails and pub food, the venue is also known for its history as being the site of a 1909 hospital that burned down, and is now allegedly the home of several ghost sightings. The bar hosts various special events throughout the year, from concerts to book clubs. The Haunted Book Club meets once month to discuss a different book each time, and this November, there will be cocktail package to purchase and enjoy during the event.
The book to be discussed is "The Stranger Beside Me: The Inside Story of Serial Killer Ted Bundy" by Ann Rule. Attendees can either purchase the book when they purchase the cocktail package or bring their own copy. The cocktail package will include two cocktails, snacks, and access to the Haunted Lounge.
