Spring festival to help Smithtown shake winter blues

This May, the Smithtown Historical Society will host their annual Spring Farm Festival at the historic Franklin O. Arthur Farm to offer the community an afternoon filled with family fun under the spring sun.

Founded in 1955, the Smithtown Historical Society’s mission is to preserve, interpret, and restore the heritage of Long Island. This includes preserving historic structures, sites, and materials, as well as providing educational programs for the public to promote interest in local history. Besides offering tours of its grounds and educational programs, the society also hosts special community events, such as the spring festival happening next month.

The Spring Farm Festival will welcome attendees to the Franklin O. Arthur Farm, which was built in 1740 and now serves to teach the public about colonial life. At the festival, attendees will meet the friendly farm animals, explore the farmhouse, make spring-themed crafts, shop local vendors, eat from local food vendors, and dance to live music.

Posters often make for effective advertising materials for community festivals like this. Organizers interested in advertising for their event using Posters may decide to invest in local Print shops specializing in poster printing services for events.

The Smithtown Spring Farm Festival is scheduled to take place on May 16 from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm. The venue is located at 239 East Main Street, Smithtown.
