The BBLG Gallery in Smithtown will host the Sun, Sand & Sculpture event this June to showcase a curated selection of new work from prominent local artists.
BBLG Gallery is a contemporary art gallery located in Smithtown that describes its venue as steeped in community, creative expression, and place. The gallery focuses on works by artists living, working, and being inspired by Long Island, with emphasis on rural landscapes, open skies, and local natural beauty. Media represented in the exhibitions range from paintings to sculpture and mixed media.
The Sun, Sand & Sculpture exhibit will feature the artists Ray Germann, Susan Buroker, Pete Hocking, and Cole Cook. New work in the form of paintings and sculptures will be on display for guests to observe. There will also be live art demonstrations from the artists as they illustrate their creative process. The event will provide BBQ and refreshments for all to enjoy as well.
Artist exhibitions will often have printed displays or placards assigned to each artwork, describing the work and the artist. These display materials can often be created by employing the printing services of local Print shops.
The event is scheduled to take place on Friday, June 5 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The BBLG Gallery is located at 22 Lawrence Avenue, Smithtown. There is no cost to attend.
