Port Washington group to sing for food

The Will Sing for Food (WSFF) charity musical group us headed to Port Washington for their winter benefit show this January.

Headed up by Creative Directors Andrew Morreale and Melissa Ryan, WSFF consists of local singers and instrumentalists performing old standards and a few more recent songs, emphasizing diverse genres. The group has been organizing performances for the past 15 years, inspired by Long Island’s musical traditions.

All proceeds from the concert will go towards the Long Island Cares program, which provides food and other assistance to people in need throughout the area. Will Sing For Food has raised over $450,000 for hunger-related charities over its existence, and is looking to add to that sum.

The concert will run for approximately two hours and will also include refreshments and an opening reception. Charity concerts like this often use special speeches or banner printing to help promote the cause and recognize sponsors from the community. Promotional material encourages community members to:

“Join us for an unforgettable evening featuring an eclectic mix of genres and feel good energy from start to finish. From classics to contemporary favorites, there's something for every age to enjoy.”

The 2026 Will Sing for Food Winter concert will take place at the Jeanne Rimsky Theater in the Landmark on Main Street complex in Port Washington on January 31.
