The Red Stocking Revue will be back in Port Washington this April with a special “Live from Port Washington” theme, aiming to raise money to support cancer care.
The Revue has been a Port Tradition for over 50 years, featuring parodic sketches and musical numbers incorporating elements of sponsoring businesses. This year’s show will be directed by Bobby Garofalo and Paul Relevant, and be a homage to sketch comedy show Saturday Night Live, which has been running almost as long as the Revue itself.
Local actors and musical talent will take the stage in skits and showcases created by the RSR writing team. Shows like this often use poster and brochure printing to highlight everyone involved, including crew and sponsors as well as on-stage performers. There will be four different stagings of the show across the weekend, including two evening shows and two matinees.
Proceeds from the event will go to the CancerCare of Port Washington organization. The group provides counseling and practical support for people with cancer in the area. CancerCare holds several benefit events across the year, but the Red Stocking Revue is their biggest, dating back to the organization’s founding.
The 2026 Red Stocking Review will take the stage at the Landmark on Main St. Jeanne Rimsky Theatre in Port Washington on the night of April 10.
