Long Island organization to celebrate new year in Farmingdale

The U.S. Green Building Council Long Island (USGBC LI) will hold a party in Farmingdale this February.

The USGBC LI New Year Party is an event where members of the organization can meet with their fellow associates and enjoy a buffet at the Heritage Club at Bethpage. The meal will also include cocktails.

Businesses may become sponsors for the celebration. There are also higher levels of sponsorships that cost between $750 and $15,000. The upper tiers include benefits such as complimentary tickets to the organization’s annual dinner and golf competition.

The USGBC LI is a group that promotes sustainable practices to the community’s building professionals through educational programs and advocacy efforts. The organization’s growth sectors include industrial, office, hospitality, and residential.

The group also has commitments for education and sustainable transportation. People can become a member of the USGBC LI for $85. Those who are members can receive discounts on events, and will be featured in the USGBC-LI Membership Directory.

The celebration will take place on Thursday, February 1 from 5:30pm to 8:30pm. There is no cost for members to attend the organization’s dinner, though people can donate money to help fund the event. Registration for the dinner is mandatory.
