Farmingdale is hosting a family-friendly early evening New Year’s Eve celebration this December.
Several local groups, including the Farmingdale Business Improvement District, the Village Board, the Village Fire Department and the Chamber of Commerce, are partnering to host the event. It will include live music performed by the local band Electric Dudes. Hot cocoa will be served, and noisemakers will be available for attendees. The celebration will end with the early countdown to the New Year and ball drop at 8:00 pm.
The event is free to attend and appropriate for families and guests of all ages. It will take place outdoors, so attendees should dress for the weather. Fire pits will be available for extra warmth. The celebration will be cancelled in case of inclement weather. Attendees can check the Facebook event or the Farmingdale BID website for updates. Towns often use flyer printing services to promote their holiday events.
Farmingdale Village encourages attendees to visit nearby shops or restaurants before or after the event. The Business Improvement District, which works to keep the area pleasant and walkable while supporting Farmingdale businesses, keeps a directory of businesses that are centrally located on Main Street.
The New Year’s Eve celebration will take place on Wednesday, December 31, from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm, on the Farmingdale Village Green.
