The American Airpower Museum will play host to family day activities to take place over the Memorial Day weekend.
The museum, based at the Republic Airport in Farmingdale, has produced over 9,000 P-47 Thunderbolt fighter aircrafts over the last 75 years. During this upcoming event, vintage aircraft will be using the same runways used during World War II, making it an appropriate setting to see these aircrafts, along with others, in their natural environment.
The venue could take advantage of the support of local businesses and individuals by collecting names and addresses at the event for Direct Mail printing. This would provide further information on the museum’s mission and its fundraising and volunteering opportunities.
The event will feature the Republic Thunder fighter planes from recent times, and going back to the original planes built in 1941. The B-17 Heavy Bomber, known as ‘Yankee Lady’, will offer flights, as will the C-47 D Day Paratrooper, the AAM T-6 Texan, and the Waco Biplane. More information is available on these bookings on the museum’s website.
There will also be various aircraft on display, and guests will be treated to the performance of precision flight teams including the Blue Angels, Breitling, and the Canadian Snowbirds.
The event will take place May 28 through May 30 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm at the museum.
