IT company sets up shop in Farmingdale

IT Asset Management Group (ITAM), an industry leader in asset disposal services, recently completed its office and plant operations relocation to Farmingdale.

The company says the relocation was driven by its continued rapid growth and immediate need for additional space for warehousing, refurbishing and processing computer equipment.

The move has been celebrated by Long Island IT professionals and the Farmingdale community, who are happy to see some larger companies moving out of the somewhat overcrowded Melville proper. Local business services, Print companies and other providers are also likely to have rejoiced at the news, hoping this will be just the start of a new list of industrial clients to relocate to the town.

These hopes seemed to be confirmed by ITAM Vice President Frank Milia, who resounded a deep commitment to the area, its businesses and their client, saying.

"It’s important to us as a company to remain on Long Island, where so much of our key talent and human capital has been developed."

Milia added that new hires are a way off, but not completely out of the question for fiscal year 2016.

President Richard Sommers said:

“We have found an exciting new home in Farmingdale with the space required to handle an enormous amount of electronic waste and remain strategically located to service our clients at a high level.”

ITAMG collects surplus IT equipment from businesses of all types and provides onsite hard drive shredding services to maintain security of nontangible data.
