Farmingdales Main Street to host St. Patricks Day parade
									Farmingdale is holding a St. Patrick’s Day parade in its downtown this March. 
The parade with start at Northside Elementary School, proceed along Main Street, and end at the Village Green. Attendees can watch from anywhere along this route. Festive photo op stations will be available on the Village Green as well. Attendees are encouraged to visit local restaurants in Farmingdale’s Culinary Quarter Mile area for lunch before or after the event.
Any clubs, organizations, or other groups interested in marching in the parade should call or email Joe Fortuna at 516-293-9700 or joef@thenuttyirshman.com. Fortuna owns The Nutty Irishman, a local pub that frequently hosts live musical acts and other events. Individuals are also welcome to march. Organizations often use banner printing services to promote their groups during parades. Anyone participating should meet at Northside Elementary School at 1:30 pm to start lining up. Main Street will be closed during the parade, so participants and attendees should plan accordingly.
Farmingdale Village and the Farmingdale Business Improvement District are sponsoring the event. The Business Improvement District is managed by local business owners and works to promote businesses in the area, run community events, and continually improve the experience for visitors to downtown Farmingdale.
