Farmingdale to host powerlifting championships

The Revolution Powerlifting Syndicate will be holding a powerlifting competition this December at Gaglione Strength in Farmingdale.

The Long Island Youth & Novice Powerlifting Championships is a competitive event where 25 participants will see who can lift the most weight. The top three lifters in each weight category will be given an award. Additional awards will go to the best teen lifter and the best female teen lifter. Contestants can join together to form groups of five to compete for the best team award, though there must be at least three teams.

The Revolution Powerlifting Syndicate is an organization that provides weightlifters a competitive environment where they can compete at their highest level. Each event ran by the group is family-friendly. There are several divisions in the organization, including raw modern, single ply, and multi ply. The syndicate also offers classes that teach weightlifting techniques. Athletic instructors who offer courses like this can work with Print shops to make Flyers for their class.

The powerlifting championship will be held on Saturday, December 5 and will start at 9:30 am. The cost to enter the competitive activity will be $105 per weightlifter. Those interested in joining the event must register by November 17. Spectators to the championship will need to pay $10 to enter. Contestants who join by the entry deadline can receive a commemorative T-shirt.
